About Me
I am retired and live in the west coast of Scotland. I am a Glaswegian, so some of the yellow, white and green buses stored at the Bridgeton Bus Garage in Glasgow may have had my bum parked on a few of them at one time or other during my long life. No, I've never been a bus driver or a bus mechanic, I'm just fascinated by old buses and since I like to take photographs, it gives me the opportunity to visit transport museums and photograph these handsome vintage vehicles. Photographs
Unless otherwise stated, most photographs have been taken by me and I have sought permission to take these photographs. When a photograph or video is not mine, I attempt to seek permission and display the name and link to the copyright owner. My photographs are free to download as long as you leave the watermark or add the attribution. I also have the originals, some are 4896px x 3672px without watermarks. Email me if you’d like a particular photograph.
Most clipart is sourced from GSP Clipart - royalty free images.
If you believe that I am using any of your photographs or videos without proper permission, then please contact me on vintagebuses@pm.me

Buses Plus
a collection of photographs I’ve taken of old public transport buses, mainly at the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust, Glasgow’s Riverside Museum of Transport & Travel and the Manchester Transport Museum. Other locations will follow as I move around the UK in the future in search of Vintage Vehicle Open Days and other transport museums. I’ve also included other vintage transport, such as tramcars, trolleybuses, etc.
Bus Banter
This will be a hotchpotch of news, trivia, humour and anything that catches my interest relating to transport. I use GSP Clipart for the images, not A.I.
Bus Fleets
A nostalgic look at the bus operators that once served our towns and cities, and those that still keep the wheels turning. Their colours, liveries and names are part of our transport history, remembered here in photographs and stories.
Bus Quiz
I used to disguise photos of Glasgow for a now defunct website a few years ago. Some of them were diabolical, I went crazy with the image editor 😀 So, to inflict further injury to my visitors’ eyesight, I’ve introduced a similar quiz for Vintage Buses. If you guess right, I’ll add your name to a points table.
Blogroll
Good quality websites and blogs - on any subject. I’ve come across some very useful and informative blogs and websites and I list them here, in no particular order or topic. You are welcome to add your own once I’ve had a look at it.
Museums
Here are some useful links to museums within the UK on the subject of Vintage Vehicles, not just buses. If I have missed out any transport museums, then email me with the name of the museum.
Midnight Route
A retired couple move into a farmhouse in Stirlingshire and find an old bus in their barn. Serialised story. Chapter One: The Barn.

A requirement, but thankfully the annoying pop-up regarding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is no longer required, as VintageBuses.org does not collect specific visitor data.
